Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using DonationValue (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

What DonationValue is

DonationValue is a tool for recording charitable donations of goods, estimating fair market value, and generating summary reports. Unlimited donation tracking and item valuation are free. Generating a PDF or CSV tax report ("Tax Pack") is an optional one-time in-app purchase of $4.99 per tax year, processed by Apple through StoreKit.

Not tax or legal advice

DonationValue provides fair market value estimates and general documentation tools to help you keep records of your charitable donations. It does not provide personalized tax, legal, or financial advice, and nothing in the App or on this website should be treated as such. You are responsible for determining the accuracy and appropriateness of any value you claim on your tax return, and for consulting a qualified tax professional about your specific situation.

Your data

Your donation records are stored locally on your device. You are responsible for backing up any information you want to keep — including by exporting a Tax Pack report — before deleting the App or your device's data. See our Privacy Policy for more detail on how information is handled.

In-app purchases

The Tax Pack is a one-time purchase per tax year, processed through Apple's App Store and governed by Apple's own terms and refund policies. Sonoma Enterprises does not process payments directly or store your payment information.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use DonationValue for any unlawful purpose, or to attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the App outside of normal use as an individual end user.

Intellectual property

DonationValue, its name, design, and underlying software are the property of Sonoma Enterprises. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand assets beyond normal use of the App.

Disclaimer of warranties

DonationValue is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that valuation estimates are accurate for your specific circumstances, or that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sonoma Enterprises is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of DonationValue, including any tax consequences resulting from reliance on valuation estimates.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the App evolves. Continued use of DonationValue after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. This page will be finalized ahead of DonationValue's App Store launch.
